Huawei made one of the best-looking smartwatches of 2015, and we’re expecting even more from the Chinese tech giant next year. A new report from 9to5Mac reveals new wearables the company could have coming down its pipeline starting as soon as January 2016.
Huawei will allegedly unveil a new version of its smartwatch specifically for women next month at CES. That means bands designed with a more feminine style and an elegant new casing. We’re not expecting any drastic changes to the design, just a few small tweaks to appeal to a new audience.
Later in the year, Huawei may also announce a stand-alone smartwatch with its own cellular chip built in, similar to LG’s cancelled Watch Urbane 2. The device is still in early development, and it may never actually make it to market. However, if it does get an official launch, the company will likely include some upgraded specs to compensate for the extra power it will require.
CES kicks off in just a couple of weeks, so we’ll know more soon.
