First iOS 9.2.1 beta now available for you to try, too

by Todd Haselton | December 17, 2015December 17, 2015 2:12 pm PDT

As expected, Apple just released the first public beta of iOS 9.2.1, which means you don’t need to be a developer to check out the very latest version of iOS. It again shows that, as was true with iOS 9.2, Apple is dedicated to getting the first versions of its new software in hands of willing consumers as it is developers who want to take advantage of it.

The first beta was pushed out yesterday and it’s still not clear what’s changing. The small iteration from iOS 9.2 to iOS 9.2.1 suggests that it’s not as major as the jump that was just made from iOS 9.1 to iOS 9.2, so there’s likely just some performance tweaks and the like.

In any case, go grab the latest update if you’re in Apple’s public beta program.
