Facebook’s Instant Articles hits Android for all

Instant Articles — Hero

Facebook’s Instant Articles is now available to everyone on Android, a move that follows the social network’s rollout of the new platform on iOS.

Instant Articles, which includes more than 350 publications, allows developers to quickly deliver articles to Facebook users right to their News Feed. The experience is designed to keep users inside of the Facebook ecosystem, rather than having users seek out these articles on other websites.

Facebook says Instant Articles inspires people to share what they read, with a noticeable uptick from sharing standard web articles. Here in the U.S., some partners include ABC News, CBS Sports, The New York Times and more.

What makes Instant Articles such a draw for readers is that they feature interactive and immersive designs, and they often load in an “instant,” which means you won’t be waiting as long as you would if you decided to instead read that article on the Web.
