Moto X Style’s Android 6.0 Marshmallow update reaches Europe

Motorola’s Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the Moto X Style, which first began rolling out in Brazil and India a month ago, has now reached Europe. Users in the U.K. appear to be getting it first, but a wider rollout across the EU is expected soon.

Marshmallow for the Moto X Style delivers almost exactly the same experience you would expect to get from Google’s own Nexus handsets. It’s not vastly different to Lollipop at first glance, but it delivers a number of big new features, including Doze, new app permissions, Android Pay, and more.

The update is being delivered over-the-air to Moto X Style owners in the U.K., and it weighs in at around 650MB, according to Android Police. Like all big Android updates, this will be a staggered release, so it will take a little while to reach all handsets.

Providing the rollout goes well, we expect Marshmallow to reach Moto X Style owners in other regions throughout Europe soon. Motorola is usually quick to make its updates available to as many users as possible, so you shouldn’t be waiting too long now.

Have you received Marshmallow on your Moto X Style yet?
