It’s been announced that all Oculus Rifts at launch will include a copy of EVE: Valkyrie.
Growing up, new video game platforms shipped with games. Always. The Nintendo came with Super Mario Bros. and Duck Hunt (though there were other configurations). The Genesis sold with Sonic the Hedgehog. Super Nintendo included Super Mario World.
The first console to really buck that trend was the original PlayStation. That launched in 1994 and 1995 without a game packed in.
Platform makers included games in order to sell their platforms. That bundled launch game was normally wonderful, and it went a long way to push the success of the system.

Enter Oculus and the Oculus Rift. Virtual Reality is a gamble. It’s a new platform that includes some considerable risk for developers, publishers, manufacturers and even consumers. Oculus is hoping to thwart some of that risk by bundling Oculus Rift pre-orders with one of the best received games.
EVE: Valkyrie will launch first on the Rift. CCP’s game will hit other VR platforms down the line. This space dog-fighting title takes place in the EVE universe, and those who have played it say it’s awesome. All Oculus Rifts will be bundled with EVE: Valkyrie at launch.
That should help a bit. Pricing was not announced.
