Uncharted 4 will have dialogue options

We haven’t gotten a lot of unexpected material from Uncharted 4 so far. Climbing, jumping, chases, shooting, Nathan Drake getting punched. At The Game Awards the other night, we got to meet a new character that looks very interesting.

The PlayStation Experience show today opened with the biggest surprise yet. In what looks to be the opening of the game, Drake meets his older brother for the first time in years, believing he’d been dead. As they catch up, Drake has to decide what to tell his brother first. The player gets to choose just where to start.

That’s entirely new for the series. It’s hard to tell now how far it’ll go – will every conversation have options? Can the story change based on this?

We’ll see when Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End hits PlayStation 4 on March 16, 2016.
