Among a pile of other Japanese RPGs shown off today at the PlayStation Experience was a big surprise: Ni no Kuni II: Revnant Kingdom.

This is the sequel to the PlayStation 3 RPG Ni no Kuni, released back in 2013, made by studio Level-5 in conjunction Studio Ghibli, the animation studio behind anime films like Princess Mononoke and My Neighbor Totoro.

It didn’t seem back in 2013 like the game did terribly well, so this is yet another surprise for fans of Japanese games and more specifically Japanese role-playing games.

The game doesn’t have any kind of release time frame yet. In the meantime, we can continue to marvel at just how thin the line between anime and video game has gotten.
