The GoPro Hero4 Session, GoPro’s even more compact action camera, is now just $199. That’s down from the initial introductory price of $399.99 when it first launched back in July, and a pretty incredible deal.
The sale is likely to help the company push units during the holiday season, but it’s still somewhat fishy that the camera is now 50 percent cheaper than it was just five months ago. Maybe the company has found that buyers are more attracted to its $499 Hero4 Black or $399 Hero4 Silver, both of which have also received accolades from reviewers. The new price provides a budget-friendly option for folks who want 1080p, 60 fps video, 8MP photos, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and a waterproof camera that’s also rugged.
A quick search shows that it’s already discounted from some of GoPro’s retail partners including Amazon, B&H Photo and Best Buy, while others are still selling it for $299.99, so be sure to dig around if you want to find the new price.
