Apple debuts second iPhone 6s ad starring director Jon Favreau

I warned you that we’d be seeing more iPhone 6s ads ahead of Christmas when I covered the last duo earlier this week, and Apple has already rolled out another. It’s called “On the Set,” and it’s the second iPhone 6s ad starring director Jon Favreau.

Unlike the last two ads, which ran for 30 seconds, this one is just 16 seconds long, and it again promotes the always-on Hey Siri feature that’s available on iPhone 6s. Favreau uses it to find pictures of flying squirrels while he directs a pair of actors on set.

Flying squirrels? Yes. It’ll make sense when you watch the ad:

Over the years, Apple hasn’t been too into celebrity endorsements, and it has used them sparingly. But with iPhone 6s, you’ll see a familiar face in almost every ad, including Selena Gomez, Bill Hader, Penelope Cruz, Mary J. Blige, Jamie Foxx, and more.

Favreau has starred in a whole bunch of movies and TV shows, but is perhaps best known for his roles in and directing of the Iron Man trilogy, and Elf, the Christmas movie starring Will Ferrel.
