The only thing missing is a flock of fleeing doves, but I’m pretty sure a few well placed cuccos would suffice. Linkle has been quite the talk of the town among Nintendo fans as of late, and many are debating, shrugging, and wondering of the importance of a “lady” Link appearing in a Legend of Zelda game for the first time.
Oh… the horror…
Whether you are pro or con is your own personal choice, but she is here to stay thanks to popular demand after her concept art leaked last year. Nintendo is proud to show off her gameplay footage from Hyrule Warriors Legends on the Nintendo 3DS for the first time. The dual-crossbows are a nice touch, even if they are a bit over-the-top for The Legend of Zelda, which is usually pretty subtle in its action.
I guess that’s the downside of being introduced to a character in a Musou spin-off because everything is supposed to be over-the-top here. Otherwise, I like her design, and I hope she tags along or is even a selectable character for the upcoming Legend of Zelda game on the Wii U. That would be a surprise, and it would make a much bolder statement if she was playable in an actual Legend of Zelda game, not a portable spin-off of a spin-off.
As for Hyrule Warriors Legends, it launches for the Nintendo 3DS on March 24, 2016.
