Samsung won’t release another flagship phone this year, but the company could still squeeze in at least one new device for 2015. A new leak from a Samsung retailer in Iran may have revealed plans to launch the rumored Galaxy A9 as soon as next week.
Specifically, the Galaxy A9 could be available in the country on December 1. The page also includes a list of specs, including a 5.5-inch 1080p display, a Snapdragon 620 chip, a 16-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of expandable storage and Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. Most of that lines up with earlier rumors, though one previous leak suggested the device could actually sport a massive 6-inch screen.
The website also notes that the device will be available in white, black or gold, but includes a placeholder image of the current Galaxy A8. Of course, it’s possible this entire page is simply a placeholder, but that seems unlikely considering how specific some of the information is. Either way, we’ll be on the lookout for any more news or an official announcement next week.
