Just Cause 3 PC requirements announced

by Eric Frederiksen | November 24, 2015

After leaking out via a photo of the game box on Reddit, Avalanche Studios officially announced the minimum and recommended PC specs for Just Cause 3, set to release next week.

Minimum specs are pretty close to on par with games like Star Wars Battlefront, Fallout 4and Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain:

  • OS: Windows Vista SP2, Win 7 SP1, Win 8.1 (64-bit operating system)
  • CPU: Intel Core i5-2300 2.8GHz 2.93GHz or AMD Phenom II X6 1055T 2.8GHz
  • RAM: 6GB
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 (2GB) or AMD Radeon HD 7870 (2GB)
  • DX: DirectX 11
  • HDD: 45GB

The recommended specs on the other hand, are actually a bit lighter than many of those, asking for slightly less expensive cards, older processors, and less RAM:

  • OS: Windows Vista SP2, Win 7 SP1, Win 8.1 (64-bit operating system)
  • CPU: Intel Core i7-3770 3.4 GHz or AMD FX-8350 4.0 GHz
  • RAM: 8GB
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 (3GB) or AMD Radeon R9 280X (3GB)
  • DX: DirectX 11
  • HDD: 45GB

Just Cause 3 seems to be running pretty light to start with. Assuming the game works (a real fear for PC gamers as of late), that gives modders plenty of room to wreak havoc on the game.

Just Cause 3 hits PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on December 1.
