Amazon offers $100 off Samsung’s new Galaxy View tablet

Just over two weeks after making its official debut in the U.S., Samsung’s new Galaxy View slate is already $100 cheaper on Amazon. The retail giant is currently offering the device in black and white for just $499.99 with free shipping.

The Galaxy View’s regular retail price is $599.99 — and that’s the price you’ll currently pay if you buy the device elsewhere — so this is a significant discount so early in the product’s lifecycle. Amazon also offers a bundle deal with a 64GB Samsung EVO Class 10 microSD card for $517.98.

The Galaxy View boasts an 18.4-inch 1080p display, a 1.6GHz octa-core processor, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage. It’s billed as a tablet that’s large enough to replace your TV, and it boasts a custom user interface that’s designed specifically for its giant screen.

It’s unclear how long Amazon’s discount on the Galaxy View will last, so if you’ve been thinking about bagging one, you might want to take advantage of this offer as soon as possible, before the price goes back up. As things stand, the black model is available, but the white model is out of stock.
