Wonder Woman costume from axed Justice League movie revealed

George Miller was this close to directing a Justice League movie, but it eventually wound up being an unfortunate casualty of the giant Hollywood machine. Thanks to the Internet, however, some of the film can be preserved for posterity, as images of Wonder Woman’s costume have been released via pro photographer Mark Rogers. The costume more closely matches what we typically associate with Wonder Woman, featuring a familiar patriotic theme of red, white and blue.

Compared to Gal Gadot’s costume in Dawn of Justice, Miller’s vision has kind of a Rocketeer vintage vibe, accentuated by intricate stitch work and gold armor. The crown is different as well, and looks more like a Miss America tiara. Megan Gale looks stunning as Wonder Woman, but sadly Miller’s Justice League just never came to be.

In addition to Gale, we also expected familiar names like Armie Hammer, Adam Brody, Common, Jay Baruchel and Santiago Cabrera all to feature in Miller’s movie. It isn’t exactly clear why the movie was eventually canceled, but it’s great to get a small glimpse of what was going on before things went kaput. It’s kind of like seeing pictures of Nic Cage in a Superman costume.

What do you guys think? Are you bummed about what could have been? Or are you happy with Gal Gadot as Diana Prince?
