Odin Sphere 8-bit version to hit Twitter after 28,888 tweets

Atlus has conjured up a wonderful way to spread the word about Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir. The HD remake is due for a release in 2016, but before that happens, we might be playing an official “demake” should the demand be there.

An 8-bit version of Odin Sphere will be made available via Twitter should 28,888 fans retweet the initial post. Atlus isn’t finished with this little throwback just yet, but my guess is that it will be wrapped up before the actual retail package is. A goofy little 8-bit game can’t take longer to cram together than a full HD remaster, can it?

As of writing, 24,000 have already helped spread the word.

Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir will launch for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PS Vita on Jan. 14 in Japan. A North American launch will happen probably closer towards the summer, and it looks just wonderful. If you’ve always wanted to enjoy Odin Sphere, but couldn’t stomach the PlayStation 2’s staggering framerate, then this is your answer.
