New Mophie powerstation family features Bluetooth notifications and more

Mophie unveiled its latest family of powerstaion charging products on Wednesday. The new units are more svelte than last year’s rectangular models, and they’re also the “slimmest collection” of chargers the company has released to date. Toss one in your pocket, another in your bag, give one to your wife – you’ll have power for days.

The Mophie powerstation family includes four different models with varying battery capacities. There’s the 1X model on the low end, which starts at $39.99 and offers just a small amount of juice, and the 8X model at the top with 15,000mAh of battery life. 2X, 3X, and 5X models exist in the middle ground. You can plug any sort of USB device right into the powerstations, and every model except the most basic features pass-through charging, which means you can plug it into your wall and charge a smartphone or tablet before you fill up the battery pack.

The powerstations also feature smart software that “tracks how much time remains until your devices are powered up 100%.” The 5X and 8X models even have built-in Bluetooth connections that can be used to send over notifications when your pack is charged up or running low.

The new Mophie powerstation family launches today and will be available direct from Mophie online and in Apple and Verizon stores.
