TAG Heuer Connected is a $1,500 Android Wear smartwatch

TAG Heuer just officially unveiled the “Connected,” an Android Wear smartwatch that it developed with the help of Google and Intel. The watch was first discussed earlier this year, but it’s now making its way to market, and we finally know what it looks like.

The TAG Heuer Connected, powered by an Intel Z34xx processor, measures 46mm in diameter and features a grade 2 titanium body and textured rubber strap that will be sold in red, blue, white, orange, green and yellow. Android Wear powers the experience, but TAG Heuer tossed in three custom watch dials, including a GMT dial, a 3-hand dial and a chronograph, that have also been featured in its Carrera collection of watches. Additional watch faces will be made available in the future through the company’s Android application, TAG said.

And speaking of custom content, the TAG Heuer Connected will ship with special applications including GolfShot Pro, RaceChrono Pro, Insiders and Viewrangers. Other features include 4GB of storage, an IP67 water and dust resistant rating, Wi-Fi, and support for Android and iOS devices.

The TAG Heuer Connected will cost you $1,500 but, after the two-year warranty ends, customers will have the option to swap it out for a mechanical TAG Heuer Carrera watch.
