Google giving Chromecast, Android TV owners free Play Store credit

Google is giving Chromecast and Android TV owners in the U.S. $6 in free Play Store credit for a limited time. Users can claim for up to two devices per Google account.

If you live in the U.S. and you own a Chromecast — including Chromecast Audio — or an Android TV device, then you can head to Google’s Chromecast Offers page via the source link below to claim your free credit. You’ll get $6 per device for up to two devices.

The offer appears to apply to all Android TV devices, regardless of manufacturer, Android Police reports — so whether you have Google’s own Nexus Player, an NVIDIA Shield TV, the Razer Forge, or a Smart TV from Sony, you should be able to claim it.

This offer may be available in some countries outside of the U.S., but we’ve only seen reports from U.S. users so far. It’s also unclear at this point whether you’re eligible for this offer if you previously claimed free Play Store credit when Google ran a similar promotion back in February.
