Motorola’s faster Moto G Turbo Edition makes its debut in Mexico

Motorola has launched a faster Moto G Turbo Edition with an upgraded processor and quick charging, just four months after the original 2015 Moto G first went on sale. The device will make its debut in Mexico initially.

The Moto G Turbo Edition looks just like the 2015 Moto G, and shares many of the same specifications — including a 5-inch 720p display, a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, and dual-SIM support with LTE connectivity.

However, the device has also been improved in some key areas, thanks to a faster Snapdragon 615 processor — versus the Snapdragon 410 in the original Moto G — and Motorola’a Quick Charge 2 technology.

Unlike the original Moto G, which comes in two storage and RAM variations, the Moto G Turbo Edition comes in just one — a 16GB model with 2GB of RAM. It’s also pricier than its predecessor, starting at 4,699 pesos (approx. $280), which is around $35 more than the original 16GB model.

Moto G Turbo Edition will go on sale in Mexico on November 13. Motorola hasn’t yet confirmed whether the device will be available in other markets.
