‘Doctor Strange’ set video sees Benedict Cumberbatch in action

Here’s something a little different. With production on Doctor Strange now underway, a video straight from the film’s set in Nepal has been released, showing Benedict Cumberbatch in a full nomad state. He is bearded and dirty and unkempt, but quite clearly on a journey to find something, or someone. Who and what, we do not know, though smart money is on the Ancient One, who is being played by Tilda Swinton.

The video doesn’t really show much, but it’s still fun to watch because it’s always cool to see how something so ordinary is presented on the big screen. In the scene being filmed, Cumberbatch is seen furiously walking through a temple, notebook in hand—and that’s it. Exhilarating! Tremendous! Honestly, I still love it all the same.

Doctor Strange is going to be a different kind of Marvel movie, a departure from the charm of Iron Man or humor of Ant-Man. Doctor Strange is going to be full of mystery, magic, and all sorts of weirdness. A perfect way to break up the action of next year’s Captain America: Civil War.

No official photos or videos have been released from the Doctor Strange set just yet, but with filming underway, we’ll likely see something in the new few months. Doctor Strange is scheduled to hit theaters on Nov. 4, 2016.
