PlayStation Vue adds Disney, ABC and ESPN ahead of the holidays

“It’s good, but I won’t subscribe until it gets ESPN.”

You’ve probably heard someone mutter those words when talking about Sony’s PlayStation Vue—no sports, no subscription. But today, the service has added a ton of Disney-owned content, including several ESPN channels. And if watching college football isn’t your thing, you’ll also get access to the Disney Channel, ABC and ABC Family. Who knew Sony would become the premier TV streaming service?

As part of the deal, PlayStation Vue will have an expanded on-demand library of Disney and ESPN content, including the ability to “catch up” on content within the past three days. ABC primetime will also be offered on-demand where PlayStation Vue multi-channel packages are available.

Below are all of the channels included in the new deal. In a nutshell, PlayStation Vue provides live and on-demand TV content and cloud DVR, and is offered in packages as low as $49.99. As we head toward the holiday season, suddenly a PlayStation Vue subscription seems like a pretty solid gift.
