Xbox One Elite controllers will be tough to find through November

If you’re trying to pick up an Xbox One Elite Wireless controller – without also picking up the Xbox One Elite bundle – you’re probably having a tough time. It turns out they’re more popular than anyone – including Microsoft – expected.

Xbox Live’s Director of Programming, Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb, took to Twitter today to confirm the state of supply for the premium controller:

When I say they were more popular than anyone expected, that doesn’t necessarily mean much – it’s not necessarily that they’re flying off the shelves as much as that demand is simply higher than supply right now. Supply might not be very high. With that said, Microsoft seems happy with the results, and reviews have been overwhelmingly positive so far. If you’re in the market for one of these $150 monsters, get ready for a wait.
