tvOS 9.1 beta reveals new feature, fixes coming to Apple TV

by Todd Haselton | November 3, 2015

Apple released several new betas on Tuesday, including the very first beta to its just-released Apple TV. The software is technically dubbed “tvOS 9.1” and, according to changes spotted by 9to5Mac, it’s going to deliver some fresh new features.

Apple tvOS 9.1 will reportedly offer in-app purchases in apps that are installed through the App Store. That means you might be able to load up Asphalt 8 and buy new in-game content right from your couch. Also, it sounds like Wi-Fi fixes are on the way, as is an improvement to scrolling, the latter of which is something I’ve already noticed has been an issue during my couple of days with the new box.

Maybe there’s more coming, too. No word yet on when this will hit Apple TV units.
