‘Kung Fu Panda 3’ trailer is full of more panda shenanigans

What I find most enjoyable about the Kung Fu Panda 3 trailer isn’t the incredible visuals, or even the ensemble cast of voice actors. What makes this franchise so fun is how it never takes itself too seriously, and perfectly uses the fumbling personality of Jack Black as the goofy panda Po.

This is the type of film you might look at and go, “oh, just another animated movie,” but Kung Fu Panda achieves a tremendous balance of story, humor and emotion. And the second movie was just as good as the first, maybe even better. Kung Fu Panda 3 might actually be the best of the bunch.

I don’t care if these films are normally targeted at audiences between the ages of 3 and 8 years old. I’m a grown adult and I still enjoy animated movies just like everyone else. If you’re not convinced, just watch the trailer above and tell me it’s not the most delightful thing you’ve seen all day.

Kung Fu Panda 3 is scheduled for a January 29, 2016 release.
