‘Captain America: Civil War’ could be pivotal for Vision’s future

You always want to take big rumors like this with an extra large grain of salt, but it was too juicy to pass up. The Hashtag Show has revealed new details about the role of Vision in Captain America: Civil War, saying the humanoid, who was only just introduced in Age of Ultron, might eventually make his way to space á la the Hulk. But that’s not all we’ll see him do over the course of Phase 3.

Vision will apparently play a double-agent role in Civil War, which is actually something we thought we’d see Black Widow do. Plot twist. As we saw from the official art released by Marvel, Vision is on the side of Tony Stark, which makes a lot of sense. Stark created him after all, and he is driven to do what’s right by protecting life. But his sense of what’s right and what’s wrong will allegedly push him toward Captain America’s side, giving that crew a powerful ally in the fight to come.

Meanwhile, Vision is also rumored to form some kind of intimate relationship with Scarlet Witch, who we last saw with Captain America at the end of Age of Ultron. Her role in the film is reportedly going to be much more complex than being on one side or the other. And with the death of her brother, she will definitely need a shoulder to lean on, which, according to The Hashtag Show, will be Vision; the two actually married in the comics, so a relationship has been explored before.

As for Vision traveling to space, it sounds like his celestial journey will allow him to appear in movies like Thor: Ragnarok, and maybe even Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. His ending might not be so happy, however, as his space vacation could end with his Mind Stone (which is embedded in his head) being stolen by Thanos.

Captain America: Civil War is currently scheduled for a May 6, 2016 release.
