Ratchet & Clank on the PS4 gets 2 minutes of Clank gameplay, looks wonderful

The brand new Ratchet & Clank for the PlayStation 4 is an odd game to talk about. Insomniac and Sony say it’s a new game, but the wording around the title is that it’s a re-imagining of the original in the series based on the upcoming movie.

Right? Weird.

Thanks to Paris Games Week, we have a two minute look at the re-imagining of Ratchet & Clank in action. This clip features pure Clank gameplay as the tiny robot works his way through a facility, gets called “The Defect” and solves some puzzles.

The game looks really good. This franchise has always stood as a beauty among other titles, and that continues here. While the interior segments are a little boring and drab, the textures, lighting and objects all look pretty cool.

Ratchet & Clank was originally supposed to sell in 2015, but it’s since been delayed to the spring of 2016. We’ll have more on the game as it comes.
