Microsoft Band 2 now available

The Microsoft Band 2 is officially available Friday online and in retailers around the United States. The Microsoft Band 2 was officially announced earlier this month and features a more ergonomic design and 11 sensors, including a new barometer for tracking elevation during workouts.

The Band 2 otherwise features a similar interface to the original Band, with support for notifications from your iOS, Windows Phone or Android device, in addition to the option to download workouts for guidance in the gym.

Like the first Band, it also allows golfers to get in on the fun, with the option to view distance from the hole on thousands of golf courses. Other fitness features include a heart rate monitor, a GPS sensor, a sleep quality monitor and more.

The Microsoft Band 2 can be purchased from Microsoftstore.com, Best Buy, Amazon, Dell.com, Taylormade.com, Sports Authority, Dick’s Sporting Goods and Target.com. It’ll set you back $249.99.
