If you placed a pre-order for the new Apple TV when it went on sale earlier this week, then you can expect to see a shipping notification in your inbox soon. Apple has begun sending out the first batch of devices, and they are scheduled to arrive before the end of this week.
Many customers have already received an email from Apple to say their new set-top box is on its way, just one day after their order status was changed to “Preparing for Shipment,” reports MacRumors.
Most of the reports so far have come from customers in Australia, who are obviously hours ahead of those of us in the West. If you haven’t already received an email, then, don’t panic — you should get one today if you placed your pre-order before shipping times slipped.
Apple is telling customers that their new Apple TV will be delivered tomorrow, October 30 — the same day the device goes on sale in Apple Retail Stores around the world. You can also pre-order the device at Best Buy for delivery next Wednesday, November 4.
Early reviews of the new Apple TV are incredibly positive, with critics praising its new Siri Remote and voice controls, and the new App Store, which offers all kinds of titles that set the Apple TV apart from rival devices from Amazon, Google, and Roku.
Apple TV starts at $149 for the 32GB model, and rises to $199 for the 64GB model.
