No Man’s Sky finally has a release date

by Eric Frederiksen | October 27, 2015

After tons of previews, even more speculation, and a brief hope of a stealth 2015 release, we finally have a firm idea of when No Man’s Sky will be in our hands.

Sony announced as part of their Paris Games Show that the long awaited space exploration title from Hello Games will be available in June 2016.

We’d been hoping it would be announced as releasing today, but Hello Games’ Sean Murray dashed those hopes while assuring us the game would be at the show today.

Most interesting is that the trailer had some somber voice-acted narration over it, suggesting that the gameĀ could possibly include some kind of narrative. It’s likely just an advertising thing, but that would definitely be a new wrinkle.

We’ll find out, finally, this June.
