It had been rumored earlier this year that Criterion Games’ last big crash’em up, Burnout Paradise, would join the ranks of Xbox One backwards compatibility. Whether it was really in the pipeline already or fan demand pushed the it over the edge, it looks like that’s happening.
Developer Criterion games confirmed this week via Twitter that the game is on the way, though they weren’t able to provide a date.

It’s not a new Burnout game, but maybe it’ll hold us over a bit until the team at 3 Fields Entertainment, composed of former Criterion devs, can get to work on their spiritual successor.
