Samsung’s Gear S2 is already widely available in the United States, where it’s available online and in big-box retailers such as Best Buy. It’s going to launch in the U.K. next, and one report suggests it will arrive next month.
Wareable said the Gear S2 is scheduled to hit U.K. store shelves on November 12. The original model is reportedly priced at £249, while the Gear S2 Classic, which offers a slightly more refined design, but the same internal hardware, will come in at £99. The news outlet said Samsung will take pre-orders from its website starting on October 29, but wasn’t aware of any scheduled pre-orders for retail outlets.
The Gear S2 is a compelling new device that works with most Android devices running Android 4.4 and newer. It’s powered by Tizen and has a relatively limited selection of apps right now, but from our experience with it has a much smoother and more refined experience than even some Android Wear devices we’ve worn.
