When OnePlus first opened up its invite system for the OnePlus 2, the company required that all invites claim their new smartphone within 24 hours. Now the company is allowing folks a few more days to think over their choice, for better or worse.
Customers who receive an invite to buy the OnePlus 2 can now consider for three days before making a purchase.
It’s great news for consumers, who might not want to buy a new smartphone on a whim. It could be dangerous for OnePlus, however, given the bevy of new smartphones hitting the market. A consumer might, for example, take that time to decide to buy a Moto X Pure or a One M9.
OnePlus suggested that it made the decision to extend the invite window after receiving feedback from consumers. Oh, and that code above? I didn’t use it in my 24 hour time frame. See if it still works.
