With Yo-Kai Watch, Nintendo and Level-5 are aiming to takeover the western world like they did Japan. The game has an anime that’s running at the same time, and it explores the crazy world of ghosts in both formats.
This whole thing looks absolutely ridiculous, and that’s what I want from my ghost catching and battling series. I don’t care if I’m 30, I’m looking forward to Yo-Kai Watch simply because it looks like a game that will make me feel like a kid again.
Now, I’ll be skipping the anime side of this two-pronged attack from Nintendo and Level-5. Unless my son wants to watch it; but, I think he’s a touch too young at 4. Maybe next year, little dude.
Yo-Kai Watch launches for the Nintendo 3DS on November 6, 2015. We’ll have more on the game as it comes.
