We already know what the BlackBerry Priv looks like and what kind of hardware it packs inside. Now we may also know the price and release date thanks to a temporary pre-order page for the Android phone that has since been pulled.
BlackBerry started taking pre-orders for the slider handset last night, promising to ship the device by Nov. 16 for $749 unlocked. The Priv will also be limited to AT&T and T-Mobile. The company pulled the page offline soon afterwards, but the information was already out there.
The Priv packs a 5.4-inch Quad HD display with curved edges, a Snapdragon 808 processor, a 3410mAh battery, an 18-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage. Combined with its slide-out QWERTY keyboard, that should make for a pretty nice package once the device actually launches.
Still, the BlackBerry Priv may be a hard sell for some at $749, though hopefully you’ll have the option to space out those payments with your carrier. We’re still excited to get our hands on this device, but now it will need to prove itself against rival flagship phones from the likes of Apple and Samsung.
