Star Wars Battlefront adds three familiar faces to its ranks

Anybody know these three goofballs? I think I saw them in a movie once when I was just a wee lad, and one of them was wearing a golden bikini. Was it the old wrinkled guy? I can’t remember.

It hasn’t even been two days since the world went raving mad about the most recent Star Wars Episode VII trailer, and DICE has capitalized on the discussion to introduce three more heroes into the mix for Star Wars Battlefront. Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader will be joined by a trio of familiar faces: Han Solo, Leia Organa, and the Emperor Palpatine.

Leia can take out Stormtroopers with a single blast from her hand cannon, but her main role will be for support and defense. Her Enhanced Squad Shield acts as a perfect barrier from lasers and even Force powers, so use it wisely when defending important positions. She also has the ability to call in supply drops, powering up her forces when they are running low on resources.

As you might expect, Han is a pure gunslinger, and his ability is to shoot anything that moves. His main ability is a Rapid Fire shot that allows for brief bursts from his gun without the fear of it overheating. This is especially useful when taking out groups of Stormtroopers and even rival heroes.

Palpatine could almost be considered a Jedi ninja! DICE programmed him to be very deceptive and agile, and his Force Dash ability allows him to cross the map in very quick amounts of time, ambushing Rebel scum from flanks they might not be watching. His weapon of choice? Lightning, of course! Duh!

These three are fine choices and all, but I think I know who we are all waiting for. Yeah, that’s right.
