ASUS OnHub router, a take on Google’s OnHub, revealed

Interested in the Google OnHub router? It certainly seems to make life much easier for folks who don’t have much knowledge of routers, or who don’t want to dive into sometimes overly-complicated settings. But maybe you should stick it out for another alternative before you buy Google’s router.

AndoidCentral recently published an image of the ASUS OnHub router, which will take advantage of the platform already established by Google. That means you’ll get the same simplicity of Google’s router and the easy-to-use management application, hopefully paired with some new features tacked on by ASUS.  We don’t know much else about the router, unfortunately, but at least we’re getting a look at the alleged device.

You’ll note it looks rather similar to the OnHub, perhaps just a bit opposite in shape with the wider side at the bottom. There’s also an ASUS logo on the top and what appears to be a glowing light on the bottom. If anything, at least it looks a lot better than traditional boxy routers.

No word on price, release date or features but we’ll let you know if we spot anything new.
