Adr1ft is looking like the Gravity of video games in this 9 minute clip

Adr1ft looks terrifying. Not really terrifying in the same way SOMA or Amnesia seem, but more terrifying in that the game seems like a non-stop thrill. Players find themselves on an empty space station, constantly running out of oxygen and floating without gravity.

You’ll be, as the title suggests, adrift. Oxygen floats about like buoys in the sea of nothing, and getting from place to place while constantly running out of air is what makes this game so tense.

Adr1ft is bound for the PC platform as well as the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. It’s being developed for play with the Oculus Rift. Yep, that means you’ll be able to deal with this consistent loss of air and problematic claustrophobia in the perspective of virtual reality.

Sounds even scarier to me.

The game is slated for 2016, though an exact date isn’t known. It looks pretty cool from here.
