Galaxy S7 Edge concept design makes some bold new changes

The Galaxy S6 Edge already feels more like a concept than an actual device thanks to its futuristic sloping display, but a new mockup from 3DFuture pushes that design even further. The Galaxy S7 edge goes in a pretty bold direction in this concept design, and we really like it.

The biggest change is the placement of those secondary screens. The concept design moves the curves from the sides of the device to the top and bottom. This gives the Galaxy S7 edge an interesting trapezoid shape. It would also probably make it a lot easier to pick the device up off a table.

3DFuture also gives the device a water-resistant rating, though that comes with a covered charging port. We assume the Galaxy S7 edge will still offer wireless charging, though, so you won’t need to worry about plugging it in that often.

Overall this concept design may not be the most practical, but it’s certainly beautiful. Hopefully Samsung’s actual device can look just as good, though it’s possible the new phone won’t stray too far from last year’s design.
