Surface Book pre-orders sell out on the Microsoft Store

Microsoft’s exciting new Surface Book has sold out on the company’s online store, with new customers unable to pre-order the device ahead of its October 26 launch. This applies to all five models, regardless of which specifications you choose.

Over the past few days, the more expensive Surface Book options powered by Intel Core i7 processors have begun to sell out, with the pre-order button changed to read “Email me when available.” Now this applies to the three Core i5 options, too.

The Surface Book can still be pre-ordered from third-party retailers like Amazon and Best Buy for the time being, but there’s no telling when they will sell out, too.

As things stand, the most expensive Surface Book — which couples the Core i7 processor with 512GB of storage and 16GB of RAM — appears to be sold out everywhere.

It’s difficult to say whether this means the Surface Book is already a hit, because we don’t know how many units Microsoft has produced for its launch. But either way, the company will surely be delighted to see its new notebook selling so well so far.

If you haven’t already pre-ordered your Surface Book, you may wish to do so as soon as possible to guarantee launch day delivery. It’s unclear at this point when more stock will be available, or if there will be anymore before the October 26 launch.
