Apple launched an upgraded version of its smaller 21.5-inch iMac computer on Tuesday morning, adding a 4K display and beefed up internal specs. The company also refreshed its 27-inch iMac with a 5K Retina display.
The new iMac starts at $1,499 and offer a sharper display along with a 3.1GHz fifth generation Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM, 1TB of storage and an Intel Iris Pro Graphics chip. The design hasn’t changed much, and looks identical to its larger brother.
Apple also updated the 27-inch iMac with a Retina 5K display with the latest sixth generation Intel Core processors, and said that every model of the 27-inch iMac now ships with a 5K screen.
Both computers are available online and in Apple Stores beginning Tuesday, and ship with the latest OS X El Capitan operating system.
