Star Wars Battlefront beta extended a full day into Tuesday

If you are enjoying the Star Wars Battlefront beta, you’ll be allowed to play it for an extra day. “Enjoy” it for an extra day might be a bit of a stretch, though, since it will be put through the gauntlet. DICE has announced plans to extend the test into Tuesday, Oct. 13, and no specific time was provided with the extension. Play until you simply can’t any longer!

Community Manager Mathew Everett stated that the extension will allow DICE to test the servers’ infrastructure.

These tests are to help us find some extreme scenarios, and that means some players may experience occasional issues such as being kicked from the game or losing connectivity. This is all being done in the name of shoring up our infrastructure before we launch on November 17th.

With the beta being used to test extreme situations, you might not get the most fun out of it, though. Chances are, DICE will be pumping everything it can into making the final day as rough as possible, and you’ll be kicked from games and possibly deal with rough framerates.

Or, it’ll be smooth sailing. We’ll see.

Star Wars Battlefront will launch for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on Nov. 17.
