Over the weekend, Marvel gave fans a sneak peek at season 2 of Daredevil at New York Comic Con, showing off a montage of footage that ended with a look at Elektra and Punisher. Well, lucky you, because that same footage is now online, which means you can hear the Punisher speak his first words! Well, not literally his first words, but the first time we hear Jon Bernthal, of The Walking Dead fame, in character as Frank Castle. It’s just a single word, too, but it’s absolutely perfect.
The trailer mostly shows footage from the first season—Wilson Fisk is a prominent figure, as he should be—but we then transition to Matt Murdock, Foggy and Karen, who look a little shaken up. Murdock talks a bit about his guilt, while Foggy at one point finds himself in some kind of unknown predicament. Meanwhile, Karen gazes upon an X-Ray of what is clearly the Punisher skull, though it’s unclear how she’s come into possession of it.
See the trailer for yourself up above. We still don’t have an exact release date for season 2—sometime early 2016—so we’ll be on a look out for that. In the meantime, you can check out Marvel’s Jessica Jones, which is set to be available on Netflix next month. By all accounts, those in attendance at this year’s NYCC got to watch the entire first episode, and it’s apparently very, very good.
