If you haven’t already, you can sign up for HBO Now right from your Roku and then use it on all your other devices, too. The service comes with a free 30 day trial. After that it costs $14.99 per month.
Of course, Roku already supported HBO Go, which offered a nearly identical service for traditional cable subscribers. But HBO Now makes it possible for anyone to sign up and watch their favorite shows live even if you don’t pay for cable. It also includes a large back catalog of old TV shows and movies, which help validate that high price.
HBO Now originally launched as an Apple exclusive, but later expanded to Google and Amazon products. Now that it’s available for Roku as well the service should be within easy reach for pretty much everyone.
