Sony’s annual money-giveaway is back. Every October, the PlayStation Store runs a campaign to get people to spend at least $100, and the people who do it get $15 back, no strings attached, no questions asked. This year’s offer starts today and runs until Nov. 3 at 11:59 PM.
The $100 can be used for any game on the PlayStation Store, but not for things like PlayStation Plus subscriptions. October’s major releases on PSN include Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance, Transformers: Desolation, Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, Dragon Quest Heroes, Guitar Hero Live, Tales of Zestiria, and Assassin’s Creed Syndicate.
If those are not enough to get you to drop a Benjamin, keep in mind that the offer is open for pre-orders as well, and even games coming out deep into 2016 like Mirror’s Edge Catalyst and Street Fighter V fall under fair use for the program.
Once you spend your $100, you’ll get the $15 on Nov. 17.
I have a few games on my radar this October, but the catch is that I typically use this $15 to snag a PSOne Classic or a cheap indie title afterwards. Problem with that is I am out of sub-$15 games to buy on the PlayStation Store that I actually want! Maybe if we see the PSP version of Breath of Fire III or Mega Man Legends 2 surprisingly pop up, that would be a nice use of the $15.
In the meantime, what do you want?
