Microsoft just announced a new laptop called the Surface Book, which doubles as a tablet using a detachable keyboard design.
Microsoft’s first Surface laptop features a 13.5-inch PixelSense display with 6 million pixels. It also features a premium keyboard with backlit keys, and a glass trackpad. Other specs include an NVIDIA GeForce GPU, high-speed GDDR5 memory and a 12-hour battery. The company says it’s twice as fast as the MacBook Pro.
The Surface Book boasts an all-metal magnesium unibody design with a unique hinge design. It starts at $1,499 with pre-orders available today, though it won’t ship until October 26.
