StarCraft II is getting a completely new User Interface

As Blizzard slowly approaches its release date for Legacy of the Void, the next entry in the StarCraft II trilogy, the developers have elected to release Patch 3.0.

This new Patch will completely overhaul the UI for the game. The video above highlights exactly what’s been changed and why. It seems like Blizzard was extremely deliberate with all of their choices here, and that type of development is absolutely why folks speak so highly of their talents when it comes to polish.

Apparently, StarCraft II fans have been looking for a more social experience in their game. Blizzard answered that call for improvement by making chat a huge anchor for this UI update. Chat is constant in the UI, and everything is pushed into a spot on the bottom right corner of the screen.

What do you think, StarCraft fans? Does this look like a solid UI update?
