It seems like all the major video game makers are getting into the world of theme parks and theme park rides. We know Nintendo is working on theme park attractions with Universal Studios, and Ubisoft is actually working on its own park.

Now we have EA and BioWare. The studio that makes Mass Effect and Dragon Age has revealred that its working with California’s Great Adventure park on a “3D adventure” Mass Effect ride.

BioWare released a statement to announce the news. In that statement, the studio explained that “the interactive ride, curated by a live performer, will take guests on a journey to a distant planet, where they will face off against larger-than-life foes and fight to save the day.”

They continue, mentioning vaguely how the ride will work… “Using cutting-edge 3D technology and 4D effects, the ride throws passengers right into the action, creating a fantastical adventure that they won’t soon forget.”

What’s next, do you think? A SOMA themed haunted house? A Need for Speed roller coaster?
