BlackBerry recently confirmed the BlackBerry PRIV, a new Android smartphone with a curved display and a slide-out keyboard. The smartphone will mark the company’s first big foray away from BlackBerry 10 and into Android. It’s a big occasion, and it’s no wonder the company is teasing our appetites with slow releases of additional information.
We saw a quick video on Monday, where BlackBerry CEO John Chen tried, rather unsuccessfully, to walk us through a hands-on with the new phone. On Tuesday, BlackBerry published three images of the device, showing the full slide-out keyboard, the large speaker at the bottom of the device, and the phone’s thin profile. BlackBerry said it published the images to “satisfy the curiosity out there” but didn’t provide any additional information on the phone.
That means we still don’t know the final specs, price or release date. BlackBerry said that it’s going to continue to publish images, video and details about the specs, however, so perhaps we’ll know more soon. Anyone else super excited for this phone?
