Apple brings Flyover to more cities in Europe, Mexico and Japan

Apple has again expanded Flyover support in Maps to additional cities throughout Europe, Mexico, and Japan. All 12 are available through Apple’s Maps apps for Mac and iOS.

Flyover is a unique feature that gives Apple Maps a small advantage over its rivals. Users can zoom into popular cities around the world and view landmarks, buildings, and other points of interest as detailed 3D models built from satellite imagery.

Apple has been steadily expanding its list of Flyover locations since Maps was introduced with iOS 6 in 2012the company added 20 new cities just last months. Its latest rollout adds 12 cities, including:

  • Angers, France
  • Carcassonne, France
  • Florence, Italy
  • Genoa, Italy
  • Pavia, Italy
  • Stuttgart, Germany
  • Mannheim, Germany
  • Neuschwanstein Castle, Germany
  • Mexicali, Mexico
  • Murcia, Spain
  • Nagasaki, Japan
  • Shizouka, Japan

You can now view these locations in 3D using the Maps apps for Mac and iOS, and you can view the full list of Flyover-supported locations on Apple’s website via the source link below.
