BioShock delisted from iOS App Store, unable to be re-downloaded

2K Games has pulled the iOS port of BioShock from the App Store citing performance issues and incompatibility with the latest iOS updates.

The iOS version of the popular game launched last August, but it hasn’t been available for sale since this June due to compatibility issues dating back to iOS 8.4. 2K games claimed that it was working to fix the issues, but in the meantime, it has removed the game from the database altogether. Even those who have purchased it will not be able to redownload it to their devices. It has been totally erased.

Touch Arcade contacted 2K Games’ customer service regarding the delisting, and the official response makes it seem like the game won’t coming back any time soon. It even suggests that owners seek out a refund from Apple.

I understand you’re having issues with Bioshock for mobile gaming. Unfortunately, you are correct we don’t currently have this game for mobile gaming anymore, which I know can be frustrating. The removal of the game was a developer decision. This happens occasionally, but thankfully not often.

I’m terrible sorry for this, if you purchased Bioshock for IOS and you would like a refund, Apple will be of great assistance. Since the transaction wasn’t completed through us, we can not perform a full refund back to you. However you will be able to complete a refund with Apple. They will be able to do this for you.

If you seek out a refund, let us know how it goes in the comment section below.
